There is obviously some excitement in the air! A lot of people are out on the street and it isn't just because there is a photographer about (F. Slights of Pocklington).

Under magnification you can see an attraction outside the Cross Keys pub at the top of the street just by the cross roads. There are two travellers' caravans with what looks like a sideshow in between them - have a look at this enlarged detail.

This photo must have been taken at the same time as the one that shows a cart from W. Culline's Steam Circus by the beck just beyond the cross roads.
